Bo | Charlottesville VA Baby Photographer

I was on the way home from preschool when my cell phone rang. I picked it up without realizing that it was a call for the studio. On the other end was Betsy. Our connection was really poor, because the back roads in Earlysville are not cell phone friendly, but I was able to piece together that she was calling to book a newborn session. Her son was already a few weeks old and she was having trouble finding someone who would shoot an “older” newborn. She apologized over and over for not booking a session sooner, but she had had some serious family tragedy near the birth of the baby. I assured her that it would be fine, she had had a LOT on her plate, the window for photos hadn’t closed, and we set a date for his session.

Fast forward 9 months and I’ve been photographing Bo at least every three months since that phone call. We’ve spent a great deal of time together talking and getting to know one another and it has been wonderful seeing Bo grow. He is seriously like the chillest baby I’ve ever met. Betsy, if you and Rob decide to have another, just know that Bo is a magical unicorn baby. He’s always happy and full of smiles.
