Simply Perfect | Charlottesville VA Baby Child Family Photographer

Any time I’m taking pictures of babies near Christmas I can’t help but think about Noah’s first Christmas. I hired a photographer to come to our house and take pictures of Noah and I to send to Isaac. My mom and I bought some large plastic glittery ornaments, my mom bought a Santa suit (which ended up being too small and we had to cut the back of the hat just to get it on Noah’s gigantic head), and I did some pretty cheesy pictures. The photographer was wonderful and I still admire her work today but I’m quite certain there may have been some eye rolls from behind her camera. And I’m TOTALLY okay with that.

Little Miss Layla is such a doll. When her mom brought out the little Santa hat and booties I was immediately transported back to my own Santa hat pictures. In fact, I do believe that Noah ended up covered with glitter from drooling all over the ornaments just as Layla did. She even had a little glitter beard going for a few minutes but I won’t traumatize her in future years but posting a photo of that on the internet for all to see.
