Are Sibling Images Extra? | Charlottesville Newborn Photographer
Sibling images are some of my favorite images. I adore it when the older siblings snuggle in and give sweet kisses to their baby. Do I get siblings that don’t want to touch their baby? Of course! And I’ve got just the thing to make those images precious as well.
So, are sibling images extra?
No. Never. Definitely not. Sibling and family images are included in your session fee. Does that mean your session will be longer? Yes, but I believe sibling and family images are so important that I’d rather take a little bit longer so that I can provide you with these legacy images.
What if my toddler is un-cooperative?
It happens. Some times toddlers hit the studio and are like, heck no, I’m not laying down on that carpet. That’s okay! If your toddler doesn’t want to hold baby, touch baby, or be within 12 inches of baby, we can use a prop to pose baby in and then sit your toddler by the prop. That way, we still get an image of them together and sometimes I can even talk them into a quick hug or kiss.
What should siblings wear?
I prefer sibling images to be neutral in color so I like them to wear something neutral and light. That can be anything in the white, cream, or tan range. I almost always use one of my flokati rugs, because it’s safest to have them lay together, and those are cream and tan. If I have an older sibling who can sit and hold baby in his/her lap, we can use the barn wood floor or the cream floor.
