We’re Open!

It has been a long road for us to get here Charlottesville, but the studio doors are finally opening up! Emotionally, I am ready for all the newborns, babies, kids, and families I can handle. I need to see and be with people!

You may be wondering what changes will be happening at the studio. Previous to Covid-19, I always sanitized the entire studio between sessions. Anything that touched baby was sanitized as well as the floors and the couch. I’ll be maintaining that policy and adding every square inch of the studio to that sanitization list. Parents will also be asked to wear shoe coverings and masks in the studio when they are not actually being photographed. It just seems better not to have germs come in via shoes unnecessarily.

I’ll continue to launder every backdrop and clean all bonnets, headbands, etc that are used each session and will not use the same items for any sessions within the same week. Sanitizer will flow freely during any studio session and I’m leaving 48 hours between sessions to give the studio some time to air out after deep cleaning.

For outdoor sessions, we will continue to operate as in the past, I will just be shooting with a longer lens so that I can maintain a 6 ft distance. All blankets and props will be laundered and sterilized after each session. The only change is that I will not be shooting more than one full session a day.

I hope that brings you some peace of mind and I look forward to seeing you and your loved ones in 2020! Let’s turn this thing around. Now on to the cute baby photos!
