CM Blog Circle | Mobile Phone
This month’s theme was mobile phone. I decided that I didn’t want to take a picture with my phone because the quality of images I get from it are just terrible. I hear other people say that they take all their photos with their phone and I am sometimes jealous. I don’t ever take pictures with mine. Then I thought about putting the camera on the front side and taking pictures of Noah or Lucas taking pictures of themselves. That didn’t really get me excited either. Probably more because when I brought it up to them they were less than enthused.
After coming home this past Saturday from my training program I stripped and jumped right in the shower per the norm. After I was finished I could see my pile of clothes and phone in the corner of the mirror. I knew this was want I wanted to do my shot with because it is such a big part of my life right now. I’m running three times a week, soon to be four, but more than that I think about my race training every day. The endurance I have now compared to just six weeks ago is totally crazy. I mean when I started this whole nutty thing I was thinking there’s no way I’m ever going to be able to run FOUR MILES! Now I’m thinking geez I can only run four miles?! Ten and thirteen miles are the new incredibly high number of miles. I may get there, I may not but I know my body is healthier than ever and that’s awesome. My phone is a big part of my ability to run. I like my RunKeeper app that tells me my pace, distance, and how long I’ve been running, although I’m considering turning off the five minute call outs because it has made me want to stab myself in the eye once or twice knowing my legs were hurting so badly and it had only been ten minutes. Also, I wouldn’t make it without Pandora. I am not a silent, time to think and reflect of me and my life kind of runner. I run because I feel a sense of accomplishment afterwards. And because I like sweets. My times of reflection only come as a last ditch effort to stop myself from giving up and just walking the rest of the route.
With all that said, enjoy the picture and be glad it’s not accompanied by smells or wetness. This girl is one sweaty runner. 🙂
Now pop on over to Dina’s Blog and see what she came up with!
What a wonderful reflection of YOU! And what an inspirational post too. I also love running but have been sidelined due to injury. Keep it up! You’ll be doing a half-marathon in no-time.
I love the last shot! It really shows how your run went. I love how your running clothes are set up and how it’s glimpse into your life. 🙂
