Ugly Beautiful | CM Blog Circle

This month’s theme for my Clickin Moms Blog Circle was ugly beautiful. I’ve got to be honest here and say that I really struggled with what to do for my image. We’ve had a very hectic month and, while I had thought about the theme many times, I just couldn’t come up with anything inspiring. So I waited. And I waited some more. Until the deadline was on top of me and I still had no idea what to do and my kids were staying with their Grandma so it’s not even like I could use them for something.

I went out to check our skimmer baskets this morning, because we seem to be getting a dozen cicadas drowning every night, and one little ray of sunshine was coming through the trees. As I was hauling out the basket of dead bugs I was internally lamenting about all these, most likely, mosquito eggs on the  surface of the water. I mean I already have like 150 mosquito bites from the last two days. The last thing I want is to be hatching 100 more from our pool. But then as I moved the sun kind of made them glitter and I knew I had my shot.
