What Do I Wear For Our Pictures? | Charlottesville VA Baby Photographer

So what should I wear for our pictures? This is probably the number one question I get from clients and, believe me, I get it. I am constantly on the lookout for the perfect outfit or outfits for family photos or just some idea I have for my boys.

I want your photos to be timeless and I want them to go in any room of your house and with any decor. Because of this, I love neutral tones. Cream, grey, tan, brown, light pink, etc. And textures! I love how different textures play together and photograph. But, you may be thinking I LOVE color and would rather die than have my picture taken in a cream dress. That’s okay! I really like pale colors, pinks, blues, yellows, etc or rich jewel tones. I love a good pop of color, so long as the whole family isn’t wearing purple outfits. Again think textures and layers! And accessorize! I really think just these few extra touches really pay off big time in the finished photos.

I keep a pinterest board with suggestions and examples of things that I like. I send the link to clients to aid them in their clothing selections should they need it and I also have clients who text and email me pictures of potential outfits.
